The walls of the hospital corridor bear photographs of decades of service — including a picture of Dr. Christine Brunhilde Margarete Schmotzer who was recently awarded the Sitara-i-Quaid-i-Azam by President Asif Ali Zardari for her 37 years of service to leprosy patients in Pakistan.
Standing in that corridor — surrounded by that history — made the moment feel significant.
Our representative presented the cheque of PKR 500,000 issued in favour of Aid to Leprosy Patients (ALP) through the Bank of Punjab to the hospital administration. The donation will go directly toward the hospital’s monthly operational needs — cleaning supplies, medical consumables, washing materials and the everyday running costs that keep a hospital functioning.
